Straatman BV was established in 1902 by Mr L. Straatman. The company rapidly grew in the field of kettle construction and ship repairs, later moving on to fabricating hydraulic presses, heavy winches and custom build projects. In 1965 the company entered the dredging market and has since developed into a global leader for delivering dredging components. It has also exceeded in the production of container handling frames, the so-called spreaders, as well as developing a complete range of quick-release towing and mooring hooks. These products are available to the regional market through PETROLCOM Oil & Gas Services.
